The team got a break saturday afternoon from the training camp
afternoon session to meet with a handful of Westmont Alumni. The

sit-down was a casual dialogue hosted by Allen Hopkins.

Matt Weidman, Dane Howard, Kevin Smith, Cees Molenaar, Mike Walker,
Aldon Cole, Shayne Wulterin, and Justin Wall all gave a quick
testimony on how they came to play soccer at Westmont.
 
The event cultivated many player / Alumni discussions afterwards and a
real interest in connecting the different eras of the program.
 
One note-able question that came from the team: Q: "How do you respond
when you've had a loss."
 
I'm sure he meant a soccer loss... but it was abstracted to almost
spiritual levels.

The 4th annual 'Father / Son' Alumni Training camp occured this weekend. About a dozen dads and their sons came out to kick the ball around and catch up with eachother. A highlight of the weekend was a round table hosted by Allen Hopkins. It was brilliant to hear from so many different eras of the program speak about how they came to play at Westmont. Many thanks to coach Wolf, Justin Wall, and Allen for helping organize the weekend.
